Phase 1:
Design & Planning
We’ll start this journey together by discussing the vision you have for your home and how our team can make it happen. In addition to project scope, you’ll also receive an estimate of price range, a list of our references, and a Survival Guide for Selecting a Contractor — which will help you no matter who you hire for your remodel.
Once we have an understanding of your renovation goals, we’ll create the design as a separate contract from the build and construction. We’ve found that this approach is appreciated by our clients, since you will own the rights to the design. Included in this step of the process is the design with 1 round of revisions, if desired, an itemized bid, an outline of the timeline of the build, and the rights to the design. We pride ourselves on our thorough and accurate bidding process so you can be confident there won’t be any surprises along the way.
Next we’ll arrange the schedule for the job and the deposits. Jobs starting within 6 months of the agreement require a 25% deposit. Jobs that start farther out than 60 days require a $1,000 deposit that you can use towards the total cost of the project once the job begins.
Phase 2:
Construction
Congratulations, you’re ready to begin your remodel! We appreciate the opportunity to transform your home, and we’ll treat it as if it was our own. Our team makes all reasonable efforts to contain dust, debris, and mess to the affected area. We’ll take precautions by setting up barriers, applying masking, and protecting your floors or carpets. Our team will also facilitate the inspection and permitting process, which doesn’t require our homeowners to be present, and alleviates stress and hassle.
When construction is nearly finished, we’ll schedule a walk through and review of the remodel. During this time, we’ll work with you to build a punch list of any to-dos that are yet to be completed.
Satisfaction in your home is our number 1 priority. Upon completion of the build, we’ll conduct a final review and exit interview with you to make sure we’ve delivered on our promises. We’ll also take professional photography of the remodel and provide you with complimentary copies.
